Dear C. David and Malcolm:

Thank you for taking the time to meet with us on Thursday, July 19th. We know that you both are very busy and we appreciated the opportunity to sit down together to discuss some of our concerns about Sand Point/Magnuson Park. We look forward to working together to make Sand Point/Magnuson Park the finest in our region.

We are encouraged that you have developed a Public Involvement and Communication Plan for Sand Point/Magnuson Park. While there have been many successes at the Park, communications and lack of information about implementation of the park plan have been problematic. Although the role of the Sand Point Community Communication Committee as proposed is not well-defined, monthly meetings of this group will assist in keeping communities informed, provide a forum for discussion of issues that arise and promote future citizen involvement in development of the park.

Thank you again for meeting with us. We urge you to reconsider your decision to exclude a representative from the Sand Point Community Liaison Committee on your Communication Committee.

Sincerely,

Jeannie Hale, President
