RE: Laurelhurst Community Center Expansion -- Survey
Dear David,
In February, our Board of Trustees expressed interest in undertaking a community survey to assess neighbor views and to seek input regarding neighbor preferences for expansion of the Laurelhurst Community Center. At that time, we reviewed the survey undertaken in Montlake for their community center expansion. We would like to work with the Parks Department to move forward with this project right away. We believe that the results of the survey will be useful to the Parks Department and the project advisory team.
We have been in touch with representatives from the Montlake Community Club about their survey. They indicated that their survey was undertaken at the request of the Parks Department and that volunteers from Montlake did much of the technical work in putting the survey on their website and notifying neighbors of the opportunity to participate. We are willing to assist in a similar capacity using the Montlake survey as a model. We have a very capable webmaster and other volunteers and the Montlake folks have expressed a willingness to assist.
Please advise us as to how we should proceed with our survey. The Montlake folks worked with Peter Anderson. Should we be in touch with him?
We look forward to working with you as plans for the expansion of our community center move forward.
