In 1995, Neighbor Day was established in Seattle as a day to celebrate and appreciate the power of kindness around us and to amplify the generosity and love that has sprouted out of hardship. More than a year into the pandemic, it seems more important than ever to recognize our neighbors who have risen in times of need to lend and support neighbors in need.

As we in Laurelhurst prepare for this year’s Neighbor Day on Monday, June 14, we want to amplify acts of kindness and appreciate those who have gone above and beyond to help the community. If there is someone whom you believe deserves to be recognized, we encourage you to submit a nomination!
