In support of Mayor Harrell’s call to service for all, LCC invites you to join this green “clean up” day. All are welcome, especially youth (service hours–yes!). Please join your LCC trustees and neighbors to clip, weed, and tidy the following public green spaces:
NE 41st St. medians (trustee Stan Sorscher);
NE 43rd St. Blvd. (trustees Pat Chaney and Brian McMullen);
NE 50th St. traffic circle (trustee Emily Dexter); and SUN Park, leads Janice Camp and Laurie Snider.
Meet at the location of your choice with a few appropriate tools. LCC will have clean green bags or arrange for the contents to be composted. LCC also appreciates and thanks the many Laurelhurst neighbors who maintain public green spaces throughout the year including: the NE 43rd St. Blvd. and side streets; Waterway #1; shoreline neighbors who allcontribute out-of-pocket to cut the grass and eliminate noxious in-water weeds for in-water recreation access all year; SUN Park volunteers who
weed, prune, and maintain the park monthly, keeping this small space a gem; street-end volunteers who clear the weeds and keep them accessible for all users; and your donations through LCC to the NE 41st
St. medians maintenance.
Let’s all join a work team on May 18 and keep the neighborhood clean and green together!
